WIP: Bases for Ogre Maneaters!

Finally got around to painting the sculpey and cork bases for the Ogre Maneaters I’ve been painting over the past few weeks.

The were base coated in GW Calthan Brown (actually a Sherwin Williams match color sample paint…!). Then I painted the bases in a mix of earthy colors:

I’m not a huge fan of GW paints, but I do like the washes! Here’s the washed bases with a light drybrush afterwards to pick out a few highlights:

Bases washed and drybrush highlightedSadly that picture isn’t as clear as I’d like. Tomorrow I will mount the models on the bases, add some static grass flock, and paint a few more!
